Children built their own fully functional wooden boat using repurposed materials and were introduced to the concept of circular economy. Prior to the workshop, they embarked on a maritime-themed tour of Palazzo Falson.
Atelier Manuel, maker of fine wooden toys and artefacts, embraces circular economy, adding meaning and giving value to unwanted timber. All his work is made entirely from recycled wood, making wastage in the woodworking industry, his main resource.
Through play in these workshops, children are introduced to the concept of circular economy, by offering them an affordable and rewarding alternative woodworking experience.
