By Bus: From Valletta to Rabat Bus Numbers: 51, 52, 53, 56. From Airport to Rabat Bus Number: 201, X3. From Sliema to Rabat Bus Number: TD14, 210. From Bugibba to Rabat Bus Number: 186. From University to Rabat Bus Number: 181, 182. From Ghar Lapsi to Rabat Bus Number: 109. By Taxi or Mini-Van: Taxis are allowed to enter Mdina to drop off and pick up passengers only, however they may not park in Mdina unless a special permit is issued for the purpose by the Mdina Local Council.
By Car: Visitors arriving by car can park in the parking areas outside the Main Gate, outside Greeks' gate and near the Roman Domus (before arriving at Greeks' gate) and proceed to the Palazzo on foot.
From Main Gate: Cross the Bridge and enter the Main Mdina Gate. Take the first turn on the left and then turn right on to the main thoroughfare Villegaignon Street. After passing through Cathedral Square continue on Villegaignon Street for two more blocks. Palazzo Falson is the third block on your right.
From Greek’s Gate: Enter Greek’s Gate and follow St Nicholas Street. Turn right on St Peter Street and head up towards Villegaignon Street. At Villegaignon Street, turn left and walk for a few meters. Palazzo Falson is the second block on your right.
The Museum attempts to preserve the ambience of Olof Gollcher’s private house, and visitors are therefore asked to observe the regulations necessary for protecting the works of art and their domestic setting. Touching of items on display is prohibited.
Smoking, eating and drinking is not permitted in the museums.
Photography without the use of flash is permitted throughout the museum.
Dur to the nature of the museum, personal bags are not allowed inside. You are kindly requested to make use of lockers provided at main reception.
Because few ropes or glass cases are used to guard fragile objects, children under five are not admitted to the Museum, and those under twelve must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
The Museum has limited special-needs access, and does not have a lift.
The ground floor level of the Museum is reached by means of a ramp which is permanently fixed to the backdoor of the Museum in Our Saviour Street, corner with Villegaignon Street. Portable ramps are available to be attached to the different doorsteps in the ground floor of the Museum, enabling full accessibility to wheelchair users.
A special needs toilet is available at ground floor level.
The first floor of the Palazzo is not wheelchair accessible and is reached by a flight of 25 steps.
The café on the roof of the Palazzo is reached by a further flight of 20 steps.
The average tour of the Museum covers an area of approximately 85 meters long. There is seating in the entrance hall and courtyard at ground floor level as well as at the roof top café.
Tours for the blind and visually impaired are organised regularly, subject to pre-booking. These tours contain a tactile element. Due to the uneven nature of the floors it is advisable to be accompanied by a sighted person particularly if visiting in a large group.
Palazzo Falson caters for visitors who are hearing impaired or who may not be able to use the audio guide. Visitors are kindly instructed to ask for written information at main reception upon purchasing their ticket.

The Museum café shop is open during Museum hours.
It offers a selection of light snacks, home-made cakes and hot and cold beverages. Breathtaking panoramic views of the island can be seen from the indoor and outdoor areas of our roof-top café.
