Dusk Dialogues: Conversations on Accessibility
Join us for Conversations on Accessibility, where we’ll be sitting down with two special guests, Prof. Adrian Mario Gellel and Mr. Gabriel Zammit as they share their experiences in making art, theories, and symbols more accessible to both children and adults.
Together, we’ll step into two intersecting worlds: art and theology, exploring how both speakers approach their work with sensitivity and intention, ensuring that what they present reaches audiences in meaningful and approachable ways.
We'll delve into Prof. Gellel’s research on symbol literacy, and how his methods make symbolic language approachable for learners of all ages, helping them navigate and interpret their cultural and spiritual surroundings. Alongside this, Mr. Zammit’s work in curating exhibitions and critical reflection will highlight the importance of presenting complex content in a way that is both approachable and true to its essence.
Through thoughtful curation, reflective practice, and inclusive pedagogy, this dialogue brings together two distinct but connected approaches to accessibility in theory and practice.
This talk aims to spark dialogue and reflection on how we can improve accessibility in museums, exhibitions, and education, creating spaces that are more inclusive, engaging, and enriching for all.
