Join us for an exciting series of talks at Palazzo Falson presented in collaboration with Fondazzjoni Patrimonju Malti encouraging conversations on the roles, challenges and evolving nature of museums. Each session will feature special guest speakers sharing unique insights on the topic.

Meet our guest speakers for Dusk Dialogues: Conversations on Community:

Edward Duca

Dr Edward Duca is a Science and Innovation Communication lecturer at the University of Malta and his work has embedded a culture of public engagement that benefits society to empower people to improve their communities. He is on Malta’s National STEM Engagement Working Group and an MCS board member.

We'll be delving into the importance of community as experienced in his projects from Malta Cafe Scientifique, CineXjenza, Kids Dig Science and Science in the City. Initiatives that reflect his vision of bridging the gap between science and the arts to bring new audiences to cultural events and to push the boundaries of arts.

Sandro Debono

Dr Sandro Debono PhD (Lond.) is a museum thinker and culture strategist. He is a visiting senior lecturer in museum studies at the University of Malta and an elected executive board member at the Network of European Museums Organisations.

During 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 we will explore the roles of museums within our communities through his experience and explore how they can foster greater community involvement and promote meaningful public engagement.
