Exhibition - Whistles: From Ritual to Toys
at Palazzo Falson Historic House Museum

The first in a series of temporary exhibitions is being put on at Palazzo Falson. The exhibition Whistles: From Ritual to Toys brings together over 150 whistles from private and museum collections. Guest curated by music historian Anna Borg Cardona, the whistles on display range from antique Maltese whistles to bird calls, in a huge variety of materials and shapes. The historic, folkloric and musical significance of these sound-making instruments is highlighted in the exhibition.
The exhibition is on till the 21st June 2009, from Tuesday to Sunday, 1000-1600 hrs. Free entrance to the exhibition. A full colour catalogue accompanies the exhibition and is available at the Museum front desk. For more information about the exhibition follow this link.
