Palazzo Falson Historic House Museum is hosting a lecture organised by the Akkademja tal-Malti, about geographical insights into the Kantilena. The Kantilena is the earliest known piece of literature in the Maltese language.
The lecture which is titled 'hemme ard bayda v hemme ard seude et hamyra: kif il-Ä eografija tgħinna nifhmu l-Kantilena' will be delivered in Maltese by Dr John A. Schembri. Dr Schembri is the co-ordinator of the Geography Unit of the Mediterranean Institute, University of Malta. For further information about the lecture see the attachment.
The lecture will be held in the roof-top Seminar Room at Palazzo Falson Historic House Museum on Sunday 24th July at 10.30am. As space is very limited, all those interested in attending should arrive early to secure a place. Attendance at the lecture is free of charge and bookings are not required as space will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Palazzo Falson has previously hosted seminars on other aspects of the Kantilena, in conjunction with the Akkademja tal-Malti. Podcasts of these seminars can be downloaded by following this link: http://www.palazzofalson.com/palazzofalson/content.aspx?id=188226
