Palazzo Falson Artists' Workshop in conjunction with Edward Lear exhibition

October 1, 2014

Palazzo Falson is organising a special Artists’ Masterclass in conjunction with the forthcoming exhibition Edward Lear: Watercolours and Words.

The exhibition opens at Palazzo Falson Historic House Museum, Mdina on the 18th October 2014 and runs until the 4th January 2015.

This full day Masterclass, in sketching and watercolours, will draw upon and examine Edward Lear’s technique in detail. The Masterclass, which will be led by renowned artist John Martin Borg will commence with a viewing and discussion of the Edward Lear exhibition at Palazzo Falson followed by an onsite demonstration by John Martin Borg and a coffee break.

The group will then visit four different sites in the countryside where Lear sketched, with time for everyone to do their own sketches and to follow other demonstrations.

The donation for participation includes demonstrations, lunch, coffee breaks and transport between the different sites.  This Masterclass is intended for persons who already have some knowledge of drawing and watercolour painting.
