Dusk Dialogues: Conversations on Discoveries and New Perspectives
In our upcoming talk, Fr Dr Jean Gove and Ms Valentina Lupo will be joining us for Conversations on Discoveries and New Perspectives, for an engaging discussion on the technologies in artificial intelligence and conservation. These two topics are not only bringing about change but are also driving innovation and sparking new discoveries.
Fr Dr Gove’s work sits at the crossroads of artificial intelligence and ethics, with a particular focus on cognition, consciousness, and the ethical implications posed by rapidly evolving AI technologies. Ms Lupo, brings a wealth of experience in conservation and restoration, where her practice which is firmly grounded in scientific research often reveals new insights into artworks and cultural heritage, prompting fresh interpretations and understandings. Through their experiences we will explore how innovation in both AI and conservation is reshaping not only how we work and create, but also how we think, learn, and reflect as a society.
This talk aims to encourage dialogue around the potential of technology in these disciplines, from conservation breakthroughs that deepen our understanding of history and art, to AI developments that push the boundaries of human knowledge and raise important ethical considerations.
